People are better than computers at choosing their partners.
But we're not trained psychologists so don't take our word for it.
Listen to what the experts say instead.
The surprising conclusion of a recent study by the University of Pennsylvania was that
what people claim they value in their online dating profile often contradicts the relationship choices
they make in real life.
By analyzing the behaviour of 10,000+ daters the researchers observed that people know
"it" (i.e. a person who they fancy) when they see it - and almost instantly too.
We quote: "Somewhat surprisingly, factors that you might think would be really important to
people - like religion, education, and income - played very little roles in their choices."
It's all in the chemistry.
